• What materials do you use to make the jewellery?
Pomalo uses mixed mediums of polymer clay, brass, ceramics, wood, rope & metals to name a few. I use lead & nickel free components unless otherwise stated and stainless steel earring posts for sensitive ears or gold plated brass ball posts. Chains and jump rings are gold plated brass.
• How do I care for my jewellery?
POLYMER CLAY pieces are formed, sanded & polished by hand to provide you with a smooth, beautiful piece of jewellery. To keep them looking as fresh as the day they were made, make sure you do not apply lotions, perfume or any beauty products while wearing them. They should be kept away from water, so as much as they would look fabulous with your bathing suit- please remove them before swimming or showering.
Keep them away from direct sunlight and store safely in a cool, dry place where they won't get scratched by your other jewellery.
To give them a freshen up, use a damp cloth or baby wipes to gently wipe over them.
BRASS jewellery should be kept away from direct sunlight and stored in an airtight container. Avoid exposure to water, oils, perfume & chemicals. Brass is a raw material and may oxidise over time with exposure to air- to freshen them up try wiping them with a brass cleaner or some lemon juice.
• Why are there limited quantities available?
Each piece of jewellery is lovingly handmade- I pride myself on taking the time & care to produce quality jewellery & these pieces take time to make & as such they are not mass produced, which means I have created something special & unique just for you- Pomalo!
